5. Celebrate the Festival of San Gennaro
New Yorkers know it’s officially fall when the Festival of San Gennaro returns in September. This festive feast takes place in Little Italy over a period of 11 days each year, bringing with it live music, art, performance, and wide variety of Italian delicacies filling the air with their intoxicating scents.
